And Now We Crawl

She's a little rusty at it, but she's pretty much there.

I guess it's just fast forward from here on out. She learns how to army crawl, then stand, now real crawl. My baby is on the move! Funny, she still can't roll over. If she's on her back, she's stuck! I've been helping her out and pulling her leg over and she does the rest of the work. Hopefully she will do it all on her own soon.

Reading Books

As you can see, she pretty much just chills out as soon as you start reading her books. She loves them!

Uh Oh

I don't know what kind of sister I am anymore. My favorite brother turned 14 yesterday...and I forgot to call him!!! I thought about it quite a few times when I was out and about, but it doesn't really count because I never made the call to wish him a happy birthday!!! Sorry buddy!! Hope you had a WONDERFUL day even though your favorite sister didn't call!!!!! (think he will notice that last part about being the favorite sister? I think Gretchen takes that and his favorite brother is probably Brett. It's funny though because Brett picks on him so much, but he shared a room with Brett the longest and just misses him soooooo much now that he lives up here!)

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY DAN THE MAN!! Love you!

I took my drawing to random.org to pick the winner. Unfortunately I can’t be all PW on you and post the pictures of entrants so you can visibly see the winner, because apparently you have to pay for that. So I have a list of all people in excel (including those eligible for multiple entries) and plugged the 46 contestants in their random number generator and they spit out #10.

Congratulations Loretta!! Hopefully you can come up with something good to spend it on! I always feel that free money is almost the hardest to spend. Due to the free factor, you REALLY want to make it something good. Funny, really.

Coincidentally, this works out really good as Loretta already bought a headband from me, I use her daughter as a model, and she has referred a friend to buy my headbands. So thank you for that and I am glad you won!

Sarah – don’t be stupid! Obviously I know who you are! I believe we hung out a few times when we were like 13? I remember someone’s house in Cal…there were a bunch of us…Karen was there I think…Sally? Not sure, I would have to pull out those pictures if I even have them up here. I just remember I was wearing overalls and I had a perm. I looked awesome!

Annon Fan – I wouldn’t have actually known who you were except Paul ratted on you when I was thinking of doing that whole ‘rat someone out’ thing. He even said his bro-in-law read my blog before and that made me laugh, I just can’t picture it!

Everyone else – thank you so much for all of the nice words, it means a lot to me! But don’t worry, I still think you’re all a bunch of weirdos to be reading up on my life. Seriously - freaks! Give-Aways, Give-Aways

In lieu of the Christmas and Holiday Season, I have been contemplating a give-away.
Every body's doing it.
I succumb to peer pressure easily.
Well, I guess not really, but I did smoke before, and that was due to everybody doing it.
The thing with give-aways is that people have to enter them. Which is why I have never done one in the past. I'm always afraid that no one would enter and it would kind of be awkward and weird and my blog would suddenly get all foolish and go up in a cloud of smoke never to be seen again.
And people would be sad.
Okay, so perhaps that is a bit exaggerative, but it is the reason I have never done one. And also the minor fact that I don't know what would be cool to everyone. And also the fact that I may not be very charitable.
That last one is a lie. It's not that I'm not charitable, it's just that I'm cheap. And also I'm not very charitable.
Crap - I said it again.
Anyways, I am now very close to doing a give-away. So stay tuned. It may or may not happen.

eBay Searching

I am looking for a new purse. My little twerpy sister took mine-er-hers back when she was up here a couple weeks ago.
Yes, I said purse. I am old fashioned. I am a SAHM. I don't know how to say cool things like handbag no matter how hard I try.
Whatev. I'm proud.
Anyways, the point is, I am searching for a purse and can't seem to find one. I kind of want one that I love and that's not really happening. I have been searching eBay - and let me tell you - do they have the purses! There are about 20 purses going by the minute! It's craziness! I have to start searching a few pages back just so I have enough time to look at the thing.
I have always had an eye for the finer things in life and that is holding true still. All of the ones I'm like ' ooh - that's cute' have a price tag upwards of $100. And names like Coach, Gucci and Prada. If you've seen those names, you know you're looking in the wrong dept.

Caught!

So this is her latest. She did it last night, and now this morning. Unfortunately, both times mom has been busy, uh, let's see, um, reading a magazine, and um, facebooking, so uh, kinda missed the whole thing in action. But here's my bigshot! And also, don't mind her fabulous outfit choice of pajama top and normal pants. I swear she picked it out.

Picture This

Ugh. It's really hard to take a good picture!! I get really proud of a picture and then I try to copy the exact same thing and it comes out all blurry. Today probably isn't the best day to try to take etsy pictures seeing as it looks like a blizzard out there, but I thought I would give it a shot anyways. Different colors are hard to capture too. I find it really hard to take pictures of any of my reds. For some reason they do not want to focus that great. Unless it's just me, but maybe the lighting with certain colors makes a difference? Gotta keep trying.

And judging by the snow blowing around out there, I don't think I'm going anywhere today! Hopefully Paul will be home early enough to get the mail.

And perhaps I should think of something good for supper. Paul wasn't too impressed with my idea last night. We had chicken with pasta. Pasta was in olive oil, parmesan cheese, crushed red pepper, garlic powder and basil (I think). I thought it was really good, Paul on the other hand drenched it in ranch dressing. He took one bite, looked at me and said - umm, my pasta is really dry, is there anything I can put on it? I failed to mention until after he finished eating, that - oh yeah, I have marinara sauce in the freezer. ;)

Melts a Mommas Heart

Kendall loves books. Problem being - we don't have that many. Looks like Santa has some presents to get.

Her favorite book - Where Is Baby's Belly Button

I love it because I read each page - actually, does anyone even know that book?

Quick summary - It says 'where is baby's hands', etc. and then you pull the pop up thing down and you see the baby's hands behind the bubbles.

So, I love it because I look down at her and I can see her little grin when I pull the pop up down to show what we're looking for! Melts my heart!

Another love of mine, she will periodically look up at me and smile.

Babies - they're the best!
